Justice Ujjal Bhuyan and Justice A Venkateshwar Reddy are dealing with a case regarding reallocation of central services employees.
Abhishek Mohanty, an IPS officer was directed to be taken into Telangana Cadre by the CAT. The same was pending for the past seven months. The CAT had directed Somesh Kumar to appear before it on March 11. The Advocate General moving an interim application sought stay on CAT order. He said, they have sought clarification from the Central Government and were waiting reply. The Counsel appearing for Mohanty pointed out that the Chief Secretary himself was the beneficiary of such order, as he was also taken into Telangana based on a CAT order. “Also senior IPS officers Anjani Kumar, Santhosh Mehra and senior IAS officer Y. Srilakshmi are beneficiaries of such orders”, the petitioner’s counsel added. The counsel complained that Mohanty was singled out and since seven months Mohanty case was being dodged and has now become an ego issue. At the instance of Assistant Solicitor to obtain clarification from the Central Government, the panel adjourned the case to Thursday.
