A couple from Thatti Annaram in Nagole died by suicide after allegedly consuming pesticide due to severe financial distress. Santoshi died on the spot, while Mallesha succumbed in hospital. The incident emerged after their son filed a missing complaint.

The victim B Mahesh, (30) was waylaid and attacked by assailants using knives and sticks.

B.Mallesham, a constable, Prasad Babu, a head constable and M.Narender, a police constable of Chaitanyapuri police station along with private persons had demanded bribe from the complainant.

Naresh called up his colleagues stating that he was committing suicide due to family problems and disconnected the call.
