Assistant Sub-Inspector in ACB net for taking Rs 15,000 bribe

An assistant sub-inspector from Chaitanyapuri police station, under Malkajgiri commissionerate, was arrested by the Anti-Corruption Bureau for demanding and accepting a bribe of Rs 15,000.

Hyderabad: An assistant sub inspector working at the Chaitanyapuri police station in Malkajgiri Commissionerate was caught red-handed by the Anti-Corruption Bureau when he demanded and accepted a bribe of Rs 15,000.

The ASI Poosala Balaiah, had demanded the amount to alter the section of a case and facilitate a compromise settlement in Lok Adalat.

Following a complaint, the ACB laid a trap and caught the ASI red-handed. Fingers on both hands of the AO (accused officer) tested positive in a chemical test. The ASI was arrested and will be produced before the Hon’ble Prl. Special Judge for SPE and ACB cases, Court at Nampally.
