Charminar Express was halted at Aler station in Telangana after smoke and sparks were seen from a wheel due to brake binding in an S5 coach. The issue was quickly controlled by railway staff, and the train resumed safely without casualties

South Central Railway announced that the Hyderabad–Tambaram Charminar Express will temporarily originate and terminate at Chennai Beach instead of Tambaram due to redevelopment works at Chennai Egmore station. The change will come into effect from April 5/6 until further notice.

The incident occurred when coaches of the train derailed and partially hit a platform side wall.

Initially, a group of six robbers targeted passengers traveling on the Hyderabad Express bound for Chennai, conducting a robbery between Singarayakonda and Kavali on Sunday night.

Around 30 trains in South Central Railway zone have already been converted into this technology
