District Collectors told to ensure smooth procurement of paddy, allocate it mill-wise to achieve required quantities of fine rice

The government stand on the issue of waiver of penalty is not appealable, the orders said.

The State government could complete procurement of 3.3 lakh metric tonnes during the last three weeks as against less than one lakh tonnes procured by this time last year, he said.
