In Telangana’s Chandrugonda mandal, forest department personnel allegedly destroyed cotton crops cultivated on podu lands, leading to outrage among tribal farmers. Claiming a loss of Rs 50,000 per acre, the farmers plan to pursue legal action against the officials.

The farmers staged the protest alleging that the officials were not responding to their request to give back their funds Rs 3.76 lakh for over a year

The plants were seen shedding leaves and bolls early, leaving the farmers worried.
