According to latest research by New Delhi-based think tank CyberPeace Foundation, nearly 80 lakh attacks were recorded between October 1 and November 25 observed on the healthcare sector-based 'Threat Intelligence Sensors' network specifically simulated in India.
Based on the affiliation of the discovered victims, the researchers at cyber security firm Kaspersky were able to determine that the malware campaign known as "MosaicRegressor" was used in a series of targeted attacks.
The survey data acquired by Finbold.com revealed that making money accounts for the second-highest reason for hacking (53 per cent) while learning tips and techniques accounts for 51 per cent of hackers.
