The TS Drugs Control Administration (DCA) seized medicines that were being falsely sold as ‘food products or nutraceuticals’ by Elion Health Care Pvt Ltd and were being manufactured by Akshar Molecules.

DCA officials seized 36 varieties of medicines, including antibiotics, steroids, anti-ulcer drugs, analgesics etc worth Rs.95,000 and seized the stock

The factory was involved in manufacturing a drug ‘Diacerein’. The special teams seized 236 kg of stock worth Rs 50.25 lakh.
