Talks between Telangana government employees and Chief Secretary Sanjay Jaju over long-pending demands failed to produce results, leaving lakhs of employees and pensioners disheartened. The Telangana Employees’ Joint Action Committee (TGEJAC) has convened an emergency State-level meeting to decide its next course of action.
The Telangana government has increased Dearness Allowance for TGSRTC employees by 2.1 per cent, raising it to 52.8 per cent with effect from January 1, 2026. The decision will benefit employees statewide and add a monthly financial burden of Rs 2.82 crore.
The Telangana government approves one DA installment, raising it to 30.03% from 26.39%, effective January 1, 2023. Arrears until May 2025 will be credited to GPF accounts, with EMIs for retiring staff. Another DA installment is due in six months
