The Anti-Corruption Bureau registered a disproportionate assets case against a Deputy Transport Commissioner and conducted searches across Telangana, detecting properties, land, cash, gold and vehicles worth Rs 12.72 crore, with officials saying the market value is significantly higher.
“As this is an offence punishable U/Sec 13 (1) (b) r/w 13(2) of the Prevention of Corruption Act, 1988 (as amended in 2018), preliminary searches were conducted on February 7 at his house and other five various places belonging to him and his relatives,” the release said.
