Telangana: ACB books transport official in disproportionate assets case, seizes properties
The Anti-Corruption Bureau registered a disproportionate assets case against a Deputy Transport Commissioner and conducted searches across Telangana, detecting properties, land, cash, gold and vehicles worth Rs 12.72 crore, with officials saying the market value is significantly higher.

Hyderabad: The Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) registered a case of assets disproportionate to known sources of income (DA case) against Mood Kishan, Deputy Transport Commissioner of Mahabubnagar district and conducted searches at multiple locations in the State on Tuesday.
During the searches, the ACB detected extensive assets, including a 50 per cent share in Lahari International Hotel in Nizamabad, ownership of a 3,000 sq yards Royaloak Furniture space, residential flats, 31 acres of agricultural and 10 acres of commercial lands in and around Nizamabad, a polyhouse and shed spread over 4,000 square feet, bank balances exceeding Rs. 1.37 crore, over one kilogram of gold ornaments, and two high-end cars.
The ACB maintained that movable and immovable properties valued at Rs. 12.72 crore. Officials stated that the market value of the seized property is much higher. Searches were conducted at the officer’s residence and 11 other locations linked to his family members and associates in Hyderabad, Ranga Reddy and Mahabubnagar district.
The ACB said further verification of additional assets is underway and the case remains under investigation.
