A citizens' committee and TPJAC have alleged that a pharma company is releasing effluents into Nallakunta Cheruvu in Domadugu village. The group accused officials of ignoring the issue and demanded immediate action to stop pollution and restore the lake.
Former Minister T Harish Rao extended support to Domadugu villagers in Sangareddy, who have been protesting against a pharmaceutical company accused of releasing effluents into Nallakunta lake and downstream agricultural fields. The villagers also staged a rally on the highway with cattle to highlight their plight.
The Gummadidala police also seized 930 grams of dry ganja from his possession. According to a police, the accused person Bupendar Sharma (24) of Bihar, had migrated to Sangareddy some six years ago in search of livelihood.
