Hydraa Commissioner AV Ranganath has directed Disaster Response Force teams to remain prepared for urban flooding during the monsoon. Officials have identified 913 flood-prone locations, including 257 major concern areas, and are implementing measures to reduce flood-related disruptions

A sudden spell of gusty winds and thunderstorms hit Hyderabad and Cyberabad on Sunday evening, leading to waterlogging on major roads and uprooting of trees in several localities including Quthbullapur, Kompally and Alwal.

A fire broke out at a house in Sanathnagar’s Raja Nagar area after a refrigerator reportedly exploded early Thursday. No injuries were reported. Fire and DRF teams rushed to the scene. Officials suspect a compressor blast triggered the fire.
