Authorities lifted two floodgates of the Lower Manair Dam in Karimnagar on Tuesday to release 4,000 cusecs of water downstream, as inflows reached 8,000 cusecs. With water levels nearing full capacity, the move was aimed at managing pressure on the reservoir.
Irrigation officials lifted six floodgates at Mid Manair Reservoir to release 19,715 cusecs of water against inflows of 25,300 cusecs, with storage reaching 17.82 tmc out of 27.55 tmc capacity
The stage has been set for opening the project gates on Monday to discharge the flood flows benefiting the Pulichintala project where the water level was critically low
