GHMC’s Food Safety Wing conducted surprise inspections at 43 sweet shops across Hyderabad as part of its Diwali drive. Officials found several hygiene violations, including lack of pest control, untested water, and unhygienic kitchen conditions. Inspections will continue citywide

On finding violation of Food Safety & Standards Act, 2006 and Rules & Regulations, 2011 notices would be issued for rectification of defects and in case of any major violation, adjudication will be filed before the Adjudication Officers concerned.
