The relentless price increase has pushed petrol rates above the Rs 100-a-litre mark in most places in 15 states.

The latest incident that prompted the Minister to come out against the practice was after activists of the National Federation of Indian Women threw an LPG cylinder into the Hussain Sagar.

Congress leader Sukhbir Kataria blamed the Central government and the BJP-led Manohar Lal Khattar government in Haryana and sought an immediate rollback of the increase in the prices of petroleum products.
