The annual three-day Gandhari Maisamma jatara will be held from Friday to Sunday at historic Gandhari Khilla in Mancherial district. Members of the Naikpod community from across the State will congregate to revere the deity and take part in cultural programmes.
On the final day, Chennur MLA Dr G Vivek, former MLA Nallala Odelu and local representatives offered prayers by visiting the fort, believed to have been built in 900 AD.
Naikpods dipped the wooden sculptures representing deity Sadar Bheemanna and other deities in Godavari river here and brought them to the temple in a procession.
