The GHMC Commissioner has issued a notice to Hyderabad Integrated MSW Ltd. (Ramky) for failing to meet contractual obligations in garbage collection and bin installation. A performance review showed that nearly 650 Garbage Vulnerable Points were not cleared on time, and less than half of the proposed bins have been installed.
The primary goal of this programme is to ensure door-to-door collection of municipal solid waste and the elimination of garbage vulnerable points (GVPs).
A total of 2,451 GVPs have been identified across Hyderabad and the GHMC has handed over the responsibility of keeping these places clean to 935 sanitation staff
