A fresh petition has been filed in the Supreme Court challenging the Madhya Pradesh High Court’s ruling that the Bhojshala complex in Dhar is a temple dedicated to Goddess Saraswati. The dispute also involves claims by Muslim and Jain petitioners over the protected ASI site
Temples across the city and suburbs witnessed a heavy rush of devotees on Vasanth Panchami. Families gathered in large numbers to offer prayers to Goddess Saraswati, perform special pujas and conduct Aksharabhyasam rituals for children from early morning hours.
