Maneka Gandhi, GHSPCA chief patron and former MP, launched a new animal ambulance and a donation scheme in Hyderabad. She inspected the Begum Bazaar multi-speciality animal hospital under construction, while the society invites citizens to Mahaveer Jayanti awareness stalls.

GHSPCA volunteers rescued eight defanged, dehydrated cobras from snake charmers displaying them in Adibatla, Hyderabad, nearly two weeks after Nagpanchami. The snakes are receiving treatment, with police and local volunteers assisting in the rescue operation

Ahead of Nag Panchami on July 29, GHSPCA has urged citizens to refrain from harming snakes and report illegal snake charmers. With help from the Forest Department, the group has rescued over 5,200 snakes during the festival over the past two decades.

The GHSPCA, in collaboration with the Forest Department and other organizations, will conduct raids and rescues across the city.
