The latest NITI Aayog report on school education highlights Telangana’s achievements during the BRS government’s decade-long tenure under former Chief Minister K Chandrashekhar Rao. The report commends the State for achieving zero dropouts at the primary level, surpassing the national average in Gross Enrolment Ratio.
The Telangana Social Welfare Residential Teachers’ Association (TSWRTA) has urged the State government to extend the newly introduced Employees’ Health Scheme (EHS) to staff of the Telangana Social Welfare Residential Educational Institutions Society (TGSWREIS).
His criticism follows several incidents where students were bitten by rats and hospitalized due to poor hygiene conditions. He highlighted that 12 students at Ramayampet Gurukul School in Medak district and 13 students at Kondabhimanapalli Gurukul School in Nalgonda district were attacked by rats while sleeping.
