Hyderabad: The Telangana Social Welfare Residential Teachers’ Association (TSWRTA) on Thursday urged the State government to extend new employees’ health scheme benefits to TGSWREIS staff.
During the discussions held by the Chief Secretary with various associations regarding the implementation of the new employees’ health scheme, it is clarified that the scheme is presently not applicable to Gurukul institutions, said TSWRTA.
Expressing concern over this exclusion, TSWRTA chairman Dr. Rama Laxman, along with association representatives Balaswamy and Keerthi Ravi, urged the government to take immediate steps to extend the new scheme to Telangana Social Welfare Residential Educational Institutions Society (TGSWREIS).
They emphasised that Gurukul employees should also be provided health benefits on par with all other government employees to ensure equal welfare and social security.
