Cyber fraudster Ashwin Supra, who sent a fake WhatsApp threat claiming 400 kg of RDX was planted across Mumbai during Ganeshotsav, has been arrested in a joint Bihar–Mumbai Police operation. The hoax triggered mass panic but no explosives were found.
A 51-year-old astrologer from Noida was arrested for sending a fake terror threat to Mumbai Police, claiming 14 terrorists had entered the city with RDX. Police said he attempted to frame a former friend who had filed a case against him.
The email sent to the hospital's official email ID stated that there was a bomb on the premises and patients needed to be saved, an official from Bhoiwada police station said
Officials said the threat email was sent to the official email accounts of various departments, including the secretary of higher education and director of higher education on Saturday night.
