The NIMS hospital officials said that a team of doctors from different health departments are attending to the health care needs of the singer. 

The award was presented to the poet on the 109th birth anniversary of Kaloji Narayana Rao.

Jayaraj will be presented with the award at an official function to be organized on the occasion of Kaloji Narayana Rao's birth anniversary on September 9.
