Residents of Malgi and neighbouring villages in Sangareddy district strongly opposed the establishment of a chemical unit by Sree Asha Aldehydes and Adhesives during a public hearing. Farmers highlighted that the site lies in the catchment of the Manjeera river, a vital drinking water source for Hyderabad and Medak.
The Telangana Praja Sanghala Joint Action Committee (TPJAC) has accused Sangareddy police of threatening its members against attending a public hearing at Malgi village in Nyalkal, organised by the district administration on the proposed establishment of Sree Asha Aldehydes and Adhesives Pvt Ltd.
The party leaders and huge number of workers will participate in a massive dharna in these villages on Thursday, to express their solidarity to the farmers fight
