Sangareddy: Telangana Praja Sanghala Joint Action Committee (TPJAC) accused the Sangareddy police of threatening them not to visit the public hearing scheduled by the district administration at Malgi village in Nyalkal over the setting up of a company.
The government was conducting a public hearing on the proposed establishment of Sree Asha Aldehydes and Adhesives Private Limited on Saturday at Malgi village, to get the opinion of the local public. The members of TPJAC and People’s Scientists have been opposing the move of the government.
The members of these two organisations have also visited Malgi and educated the locals on the need to oppose the move since the company would cause environmental, water and soil pollution besides causing multiple health issues.
However, the Zaheerabad DSP Saida Nayak called TPJAC district chairman Y Ashok Kumar and asked him not to visit the place on Saturday, he alleged. He was reported to have warned that they would be taken into custody if they went to Malgi on the public hearing day.
