Left party leaders and people’s organisations staged a protest in Kothagudem demanding a judicial probe into the Maredumilli encounter in ASR district. They alleged the Centre was acting in favour of corporate forces and sought repeal of Forest Conservation Rules 2022.
The CPI (Maoist) alleged that top leader Madivi Hidma, his wife Raje and others were captured unarmed in Vijayawada and later killed in a fake encounter by Andhra Pradesh police. The party called for a nation-wide bandh on November 23.
