A 42-year-old painter was found brutally murdered at his residence in Gowdavelly, Medchal, on Wednesday night. Police said the victim was attacked with an axe by an unidentified assailant. The motive behind the killing remains unknown

The victim had an argument with the boy, following which the minor attacked the victim with sharp edged weapon on the head leading to his death

The arrested suspects are identified as G Rakesh, the younger brother of the victim, G Laxman, B Naveen, B Suresh and B Naresh, all cousins of the victim
