Priest murdered by minor boy in Telangana’s Medchal

The victim had an argument with the boy, following which the minor attacked the victim with sharp edged weapon on the head leading to his death

Hyderabad: A priest was murdered by his relative, who is a minor boy, over some personal issues at Medchal early on Monday.

According to the police, Jagan, (30), who previously worked as a priest at a temple stayed along with his mother and cousin brother at Kistapur village in Medchal.

“Since few months, Jagan is addicted to alcohol and frequently quarrelled with the suspect who is aged around 16 years. On Sunday late night, Jagan quarrelled with the boy again following which the juvenile attacked the victim with sharp edged weapon on the head leading to his death,” said Medchal Inspector, A Satyanarayana.

On a complaint, the police registered a case and started efforts to apprehend the juvenile who is absconding.
