During the raid, DCA officers discovered a large quantity of medicines being stocked for unauthorized sale. A total of 59 types of medicines, including antibiotics, painkillers, anti-ulcer drugs, anti-diabetic medications, and antihypertensive drugs, were found stored on the premises.
Drug inspectors conducted a raid on Balaji Clinic in Puppalguda, Rangareddy district, which was being run by an unqualified practitioner named Ratan Biswas. According to the DCA, Biswas was practicing allopathic medicine without an MBBS degree. During the raid, inspectors discovered 34 different types of medications and seized stocks valued at Rs 1.85 lakh.
DG TSDCA, V B Kamalasan Reddy, urged wholesalers and traders to supply drugs in bulk only to individuals or medical shops with a valid DCA drug license issued under the Drugs and Cosmetics Act.
The medical shop was being run by P. Shailaja in Sri Sai Clinic at Sharadha Nagar, Ramanthapur, Medchal-Malkajgiri district and selling drugs unlawfully without a drug license.
