Veteran actor and BJP leader Mithun Chakraborty fell ill during a roadshow in Baharampur, Murshidabad, while campaigning for BJP candidate Subrata Mitra. Party leaders attributed his sudden illness to extreme heat and fatigue. He was rushed away for rest and first aid, while the roadshow continued under Mitra’s leadership.

Mithun Chakraborty revealed he once managed 65 films at the same time, spoke about his record of 19 releases in a year, his new projects, and the controversy around The Bengal Files.

It is now speculated that ‘Aaj Ka Arjun’ fame actress Jaya Prada has also joined the shooting schedule with its lead actor Prabhas and actress Imanvi who will be making her debut with the historical drama.

‘Fauji’ is set to be a historical fiction drama, taking place in the 1940s.

Chakraborty, 73, was admitted to a hospital in Kolkata reportedly after showing symptoms of Ischemic Cerebrovascular Accident.

Sources said that he started complaining about uneasiness from around 10 a.m. on Saturday, following which his close associates decided to get him admitted at the private hospital in the city without taking any further risk.

"Delighted and proud that The Kashmir Files won the prestigious and most important National Award. Would have loved to win an award for my acting too," the actor said.

'Projapati' is the third highest-grossing Indian Bengali film. ZEE5 has just announced its world digital premiere on April 14.

Chakraborty made an impact on Hindi cinema with his dancing skills and his contribution to the film industry.
