Early Friday morning, Intuitive Machines achieved a significant milestone as their first lunar lander successfully touched down on the moon.

NASA has delayed the first crewed moon landing to September 2026 due to development challenges faced by NASA and industry partners, including SpaceX and Lockheed Martin.

NASA commends the teams involved despite the setback.

"The landing on Wednesday evening is confirmed as initially scheduled," stated S. Somanath, Chairman of the Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO)
