Residents from Durga Province Colony, Ameenpur municipality complained that due to nala encroachments, their colony gets completely inundated during monsoons.

To address the emergency, authorities evacuated residents from the affected zones.

A special task force committee was also formed under the chairmanship of District Collector Rajeev Gandhi Hanumanthu to oversee the demolition drive.
