Heavy rains and flash floods in Jammu and Kashmir have forced Northern Railway to cancel 68 trains till September 30, while 24 services resume. Shuttle trains ferry stranded passengers, and Vande Bharat Express is set to restart on September 7.
The 12 teams of Indian Railways represent the South Central Railway, Central Railway, Western Railway, Northern Railway, Eastern Railway, East Central Railway, North Eastern Railway, North Frontier Railway, Southern Railway, South Western Railway, South East Central Railway and North Western Railway.
These special trains will make 377 trips -- 351 towards the eastern part of the country and 26 towards the northern region -- between October 18 and December 11.
The officials added that Puri- New Delhi Purushottam Express, Gaya- New Delhi Mahabodhi Express, and Barauni-New Delhi Clone Special, were late by 3:30 hours.
The Northern Railway said that the passengers who cannot reach stations are requested to apply for full refund of all trains departing from all the stations in Delhi.
