The Railway Protection Force (RPF), Secunderabad Division, recovered and returned passenger belongings worth Rs 2.24 crore under 'Operation Amanat' in the first half of 2026, solving 658 cases.
The Railway Protection Force and Government Railway Police, Secunderabad, returned lost valuables worth Rs 29.15 lakh to two passengers under Operation Amanat. The recovered items included gold ornaments, cash, mobile phones and a wristwatch. RPF has restored belongings worth Rs 68.69 lakh this year.
Under ‘Operation Amanat’, the Railway Protection Force (RPF) of South Central Railway (SCR) successfully recovered 21 lost mobile phones in July. Nine phones have already been returned to their owners. A total of 169 complaints were received across the SCR zone, leading to the blocking of 139 phones, with traceability detected in 52 cases.
