Hyderabad Police have warned voters against cyber fraudsters posing as election officials during the ongoing Special Intensive Revision of electoral rolls. Citizens have been advised never to share OTPs or banking details and to report suspicious calls to the Cyber Crime Helpline.

Adilabad SP Akhil Mahajan urged people to stay alert against cyber fraudsters and avoid sharing OTPs or financial details. He said 15 cyber fraud cases were reported this week and highlighted recent incidents involving APK files, Instagram scams and fake KYC requests

The cybercrime fraudsters who were nabbed were involved in as many as 313 cases across India, officials said.
