It then proceeds towards showing the chaotic journey that the characters embark on in trying to cross the borders, with Arjun trying to kill Parineeti at the end of the nail-biting trailer.
"Nothing has changed. I don't have an idea if I am a star and I don't know what it's like to be a star. I don't have an idea about stardom. I used to work with honesty and I am doing it with sincerity till now," Pankaj said.
"Nothing makes me happier to know that 'Kaagaz', our labour of love, would reach a wider audience, especially in the interiors where watching cinema is still a far fetched dream," said the film's director Satish Kaushik.
"I read a news article about Lal Bihari Mritak many years ago and I was touched by his journey. When I researched about him, I felt that his story deserved to be told and I wanted to do that myself," said Kaushik.
Through this film, I've understood myself better as an actor. It's given me a different sense of confidence and, maybe it's because of the impact Gunjan madam's story and resilience has had on me, the actress said.

Opening up about his character in the dark comedy, Siddiqui said: "He is a detective who thinks in a completely different way one that cannot be comprehended by the common man. He lives in a world of his own creation and follows his heart.
