A Tirupati Reddy drew flak from citizens on Wednesday after he declared that the government would not step back from acquiring lands in Lagacherla and surrounding villages for the proposed Pharma Village project.
In a late night operation, around 300 police personnel descended on the village, cutting off electricity, and conducting door-to-door searches to detain suspects
They termed the attack on government officials unfortunate, stating that it reflects the failed governance as well as failed law and order in the State.
The Revanth Reddy government, reaffirmed before the court its commitment to the Pharma City project, despite ongoing legal challenges from local farmers.
