Fresh disputes over water sharing, the Polavaram-Banakacherla Link Project and village merger demands have further strained relations between the neighbouring States.
The Bharat Rashtra Samithi has stepped up its attack on the Congress government, accusing it of failing to protect Palamuru’s irrigation interests. Former minister V. Srinivas Goud alleged that Karnataka and Andhra Pradesh were diverting water illegally and urged Telangana to pursue legal remedies, while also pressing for completion of the Palamuru‑Rangareddy Lift Irrigation Project.
