The EC said in a statement that the presiding officer and three other officials have been placed under suspension and a repoll has been ordered at the Indira M.V. School polling station under Ratabari Assembly constituency in the state.

The judge disposed off two writ petitions filed by Renu Soni, candidate from Ghansi Bazar Ward 49 and K Surender from Ward 52 Puranapul

The Commissioner reviewed the polling process and said the polling which started at 7 am at the 69 polling stations was peaceful under the supervision of the senior police officers in the zone.

The repoll in the division is being held after CPI contesting candidate complained about mismatch of the party symbol in the ballot paper on Tuesday.
