Members of youth associations staged a maha dharna at Gundlapalli chowk in Ganneruvaram mandal, Karimnagar, demanding the construction of a double road between Gundlapalli and Ganneruvaram. Protesters accused local MLA Dr. Kavvampalli Satyanarayana of neglecting the issue despite promising during his election campaign to complete the road within six months.
He kept his promise by completing works of a cement concrete road from foothills and to atop of a hillock of Sri Mallikharjuna Swamy temple at Velala village in Jaipur mandal and a black top road from Bokkalagutta village to the historic Gandhari fort in Mandamarri mandal, in a year.
