CPI(M) leaders in Madhira constituency have accused Congress leaders of spreading false propaganda regarding the murder of their leader Samineni Rama Rao. CPM division secretary Madipalli Gopal Rao alleged that Deputy Chief Minister Bhatti Vikramarka was shielding the culprits.
CPI (M) leaders in Khammam staged a massive dharna at the collectorate, accusing Deputy Chief Minister Mallu Bhatti Vikramarka and his wife Nandini of influencing the investigation into the murder of party leader Samineni Rama Rao. The protest, supported by BRS, CPI and CPI (ML) New Democracy, saw villagers from Patharlapadu join in large numbers.
CPI(M) activists held a massive rally in Khammam protesting the delay in arresting those accused in the murder of Samineni Rama Rao. The party alleged political bias and negligence in the investigation, especially in Madhira constituency, represented by Deputy CM Bhatti Vikramarka.
CPI (M) leader Samineni Rama Rao (70) was murdered at his house at Patarlapadu village of Chintakani mandal in Khammam district. The assailants stabbed him with knives; slit his throat, left him in the pool of blood and fled the scene
