Khammam: CPI (M) leaders in Madhira constituency have accused the Congress leaders of spreading false propaganda on the murder of its leader Samineni Rama Rao and demanded immediate arrest of the accused in the case.
CPM Madhira division secretary Madipalli Gopal Rao and others, speaking to the media on Tuesday, complained that Deputy Chief Minister Bhatti Vikramarka and the Congress party leaders were trying to shield the culprits in the murder case, fearing that it would backfire on them.
The police were not revealing the truth on the orders of Mallu Bhatti Vikramarka and Samineni Rama Rao was undoubtedly murdered by the Congress leaders of Patharlapadu, Gopal Rao alleged.
He stated that half of the people across the Madhira constituency oppose Bhatti Vikramarka, which became evident in the recent local body elections. He demanded the Deputy Chief Minister to explain why he was obstructing the inauguration of the 100-bed hospital constructed in Madhira town during the BRS regime.
Despite the attempts to suppress the CPM in the Madhira constituency, the party flag would fly high in the constituency. Despite the restrictions by police, the protest rally by the CPM in Madhira on January 3 was successful, Gopal Rao said.
The party leaders Dondapati Nageswara Rao, Ch Koteswara Rao, Kilaru Suresh, Manda Saidulu, Papineni Ramanaarsayya, Seelam Narasimha Rao and others were present.
