The Telangana School Education Department has announced a major uniform overhaul for government schools, prescribing trousers and shirts for Class VI and VII students from the 2026-27 academic year. The new design, featuring light blue shirts and navy blue bottoms, replaces the maroon and ash combination introduced earlier.
The School Education department, in its revised uniform design for the academic year 2025-26, prescribed shirts and knickers for boys in Classes I to VII.
During the academic year 2023-24, the School Education department made changes to design and pattern of the uniforms, which presented a corporate style to students studying in the government and local body schools
Innovative art and craft pieces covering wide range topics made by the students using different types of materials attracted the attention of the parents who visited the exhibition that took place in a festive atmosphere.
