The Election Commission has approved rationalisation of polling stations in Telangana, increasing the total from 35,985 to 36,353 across 33 districts. Nalgonda district recorded the highest addition with 49 new stations, followed by Hyderabad with 32, while several constituencies saw location changes, nomenclature updates, and mergers.
BRS spokesperson Manne Krishank accused CM Revanth Reddy and the Congress of misleading Secunderabad Cantonment voters with unfulfilled promises and warned that similar tactics were being used in Jubilee Hills. He cited failures in housing, infrastructure, and land regularisation, challenging the Congress to show results before seeking votes again.
The ECI gazette notification is for elections to 96 Lok Sabha seats in 10 States, including Telangana, Andhra Pradesh, Bihar, Jharkhand, Madhya Pradesh, Maharashtra, Odisha, Uttar Pradesh, West Bengal, Jammu and Kashmir.
