Asked what she finds harder, to play a character completely different from herself or one that closely resembles her, Shweta told IANS, “Umm, completely different. Closely resembles me, toh matlab mujhe woh hi lagega, ‘then what are you?’ Because we're so many things. (I’d feel connected to it—because, then, ‘What are you?’) We’re made up of so many things.”
Shweta, who plays the role of Golu also known as Gajgamini Gupta in the crime drama series “Mirzapur”, took to Instagram, shared a book, with the title “The illustrated encyclopedia of Pistols and Revolvers.”
Shweta has been shooting throughout in locations such as Benaras and Manali when many states were going into lockdown due to the second wave of Covid-19. She also managed to successfully wrap
"I have known Shriya for what feels like forever! We first met because we both did theatre together. Theatre was the reason for how we knew each other way back before we were cast for 'Mirzapur'," Shweta said.
Season one dropped in 2018, and had Shweta's character Golu Gupta in a far more demure avatar than the gun-totting mode she hits in the second season of the show.
