A 30-year-old daily labourer from Rangareddy district, who was declared brain dead following a road accident, donated his liver and corneas to needy patients. His father gave consent for the donation under Telangana’s State-run Jeevandan organ donation initiative.

Kotha Dinakar, 24, from Shamshabad, declared brain dead after a road accident, had his organs donated to needy patients under Telangana’s Jeevandan programme. His kidneys and liver were allocated to patients, marking the 21st brain-dead donation in 2026.

The doctors retrieved liver (one organ) and allocated it to a needy patient based on organ donation guidelines

The young priest tragically met with a road accident in the early hours of November 4 and was declared as brain dead on November 8.
