A woman in Hyderabad’s Punjagutta area allegedly strangled her 20-year-old son to death following a quarrel over money on Friday night. Police said the woman may have been assisted by others. An investigation is underway.

A 52-year-old woman was allegedly strangulated in the national capital's Madangir area by her husband who later placed the body in their bathroom.

A man has been arrested for strangulating his wife to death in their residence in Noida Sector 30, police said on Monday.

"The house was ransacked and when he checked the almirah, a gold chain and other ornaments were missing," the Jeedimetla police said.

Later in the night, the accused, Darshan allegedly strangulated his wife, Soundarya to death with a towel, police said, adding that he walked into OU police station, where he surrendered

An extra-marital affair led to the murder, the police said.
