The Telangana Model Schools Teachers Association has urged the State government to clear five pending DA arrears in one go, citing severe financial strain on teaching staff. The association pointed out that 124 instalments remain unpaid, even as other government departments have begun receiving arrears, and demanded parity in treatment.
TS UTF president Chava Ravi and general secretary A Venkat requested the government to immediately withdraw the decision to deploy regular teachers for inspection duties.
Government schools have seen a 4.45 lakh drop in enrolments, while private schools gained 5.37 lakh new students, despite government schools offering English medium instruction.
