Heavy thunderstorms accompanied by lightning and gusty winds affected several parts of Greater Hyderabad overnight. Kondapur recorded the highest rainfall at 112.3 mm, while the IMD has forecast continued rain, thunderstorms and lightning across Telangana until June 18.
Hyderabad is experiencing intense heatwave conditions, with temperatures rising between 40°C and 42°C in several areas, according to TSDPS. Multiple localities including Patancheru, Jubilee Hills, and Uppal recorded high temperatures, urging citizens to stay cautious during extreme heat.
Hyderabad witnessed heavy overnight rains with Musheerabad in Secunderabad recording 184.5 mm, the highest in the city. As many as 26 locations reported over 100 mm, leaving several areas waterlogged and officials monitoring the situation closely.
Hyderabad experiences heavy monsoon rainfall, with six zones recording 25–52 mm between Wednesday night and Thursday morning. Rajendranagar tops the list with 52.3 mm, followed by Bahadurpura and Charminar, highlighting widespread impact across the city.

Moderate rains lasting up to 10 to 15 minutes along with thunder and gusty winds, were reported in parts of Tellapur, Serilingampally, Miyapur, Gachibowli, Nanakramguda, Narsingi and BHEL were reported at the local weather stations of Telangana State Development Planning Society (TSDPS)
Interestingly, on Wednesday, the minimum temperatures during night and maximum temperatures during day have literally remained the same and hovered between 20 degree C and 22 degree C
While multiple areas in Hyderabad had recorded single-digit minimum temperatures in the last 48-hours, the minimum temperatures recorded on Wednesday morning in twin cities was above 10 degree Celsius
